Sony today introduced a firmware update for the A7 and A7r cameras, as well as the NEX-5T, 5R, and 6 cameras.
The A7/A7r version 1.02 updates:
- Reduces start-up time
- Provides support for new Playmemories Apps or new features in existing apps
- Improves JPEG image quality
- Supports the upcoming 70-200mm f/4 FE lens
For the NEX models:
- 5R version 1.03 supports Fast Hybrid AF for a number of current and future E-mount lenses
- 5T version 1.01 supports Fast Hybrid AF for a number of current and future E-mount lenses
- 6 version 1.03 supports Fast Hybrid AF for a number of current and future E-mount lenses
