Nikkor Z 17-28mm f/2.8 Lens Specifications

bythom nikon 17-28mm

Thom’s Commentary: Nikon’s second re-branding of a Tamron lens. And one people should pay attention to. This lens is a solid performer in the wide-angle zoom range. No, it’s not an S-line lens so it doesn’t have the full weather sealing and other features, but it’s solidly made and resistant to dust and water ingress. One exciting point is that all three of the Tamrikon f/2.8 lenses that will end up in the lineup use 67mm filters, a size that’s easy to pack and also quite affordable. What licensing the Tamron zooms has done for Nikon is provide a lower-priced option, without a lot of compromise. These lenses pack small and travel well, and they’re solid performers optically. That said, Nikon’s list pricing is a little on the high side. Look for Nikon’s lens sales and pick this lens up when it’s got a discount and I’m pretty sure you’ll be pleased.
