Sony NEX Firmware Updates

Sony has introduced firmware 1.01 for the NEX-7, which allows you to disable the record movie button, adds additional bracketing options, speeds up image review, provides a more accurate indicator when Flexible Spot is used, and improves image quality with wide angle lenses. The firmware hasn't made it to all Sony subsidiaries yet, but is available at the UK support site.

Those getting the new NEX-5R and NEX-6 cameras should also check Sony's update sites for lens updates. There have been ones for the 18-55mm, 55-210mm, 18-200mm, and 24mm lenses. Again, not all subsidiaries seem to have this update posted yet, but the UK has the NEX-5R and NEX-6 lens updates.
