J1 and V1 owners will be a little disappointed, but you J2 owners—oh, wait, there aren't any of you yet—will be happy to know that you can update your 10-30mm and 30-100mm lenses so that they'll turn off when you retract the lens. Firmware update 1.10 for the lenses does this, and is already available on some Nikon sites.
