23mm f/1.7 Noktor coming for E-mount

SLR Magic, makers of the Noktor brand, are stepping up their Sony E-mount work. Besides the upcoming 50mm f/0.95 Noktor (manual focus) they've already talked about, according to a press release issued yesterday they are now testing a 23mm f/1.7 HyperPrime, which will be available in January 2012. These lenses are in addition to the lower cost and simpler 28mm f/2.8 and 35mm f/1.7 manual focus lenses SLR Magic already makes for the E-mount. Details on the new lens can be found in the Lenses section. SLR Magic currently sells mostly directly, through their SLR-Magic eBay store

Update: SLR Magic has decided that the prototypes of this lens weren't living up to expectations so they cancelled it.
