Pentax Mirrorless Cameras

Pentax was acquired by Ricoh, though the name on the cameras currently remains Pentax. This was the second time Pentax was acquired in less than a decade, so Pentax’s camera development seems a little less cohesive and slower to the mark than some of the other brands. Pentax’s mirrorless cameras also seem to be mostly pet projects rather than attempts at mainstream cameras.

We’ve seen two slightly different approaches to mirrorless cameras from Pentax, the K series (regular Pentax K-mount lenses are used) and the very small Q series (basically a compact camera with interchangeable lenses).
