Thom's Mini-review: While this lens is sharp, I just don't find a place for it in my usage. Yes, it's a little smaller than the 10-30mm kit lens, but it also doesn't have VR and the focal range is fairly small and "very normal"biased. It appears that Nikon created this lens mostly to give themselves a lower cost option in bundling with cameras like the S1. No need to purchase one as an accessory.
