SB-N5 Speedlight Flash

This small flash is an accessory for the Nikon V1 (and obviously plugs into its hot shoe/accessory socket). It provides a Guide Number of 28 ft (8.5m at ISO 100). If you need to understand what that means, Aperture = GN / Distance. So at f/2.8 the flash would have enough power to fully light a subject at 10 feet. In other words, it's not a powerful flash, but it should prove useful for most fill flash and indoors needs.

The flash supports both i-TTL and Manual flash modes, and does so with the slow sync and rear sync flash options. Flash exposure compensation is supported, as well. The flash can be tilted up to 90 degrees vertical and 180 degrees horizontally in either direction. At full power, the flash duration is about 1/4000 second. Power is obtained from the camera.
