This GPS unit plugs into the hot shoe/accessory slot on the top of the V1 camera (not compatible with the J1). It provides latitude, longitude, altitude, and time information that is embedded into the EXIF data when shooting with the V1. Acquisition time is about 40 seconds from a cold start, 3 from a hot start, and it updates once a second. Power is provided by the camera body.
